Leap Into The Future, With Future Leap

It has been a year of uncertainty for many, but last week, members of our network came together in celebration of all things sustainable at the Future Leap official launch.

Since opening in July 2020, the Future Leap Hub has grown into a bustling central space, not only for those working in the sustainability and environmental sectors but for the wider community to join in and learn. Future Leap facilitate weekly events programmes, provide a carbon neutral co-working space for a range of local businesses and organisations, offer a dedicated carbon consultancy, as well as our ethical café and eco-lifestyle shop, open to all at the Future Leap Hub.

During these turbulent and challenging times, we have proudly continued to work and provide you with interesting and engaging events, workshops and talks from numerous and diverse individuals and businesses at the heart of sustainability. The evening of the launch provided a long over-due opportunity to enjoy one another’s company, the success of the hub since opening during the pandemic and the chance to network in a safe environment.

It was here that we officially confirmed the launch of our brand merge. Best described as the ‘natural evolution’ of what was once the Future Economy Network, it is only fitting that this should come under the name Future Leap. The Network continues to thrive and now moves from strength to strength following the creation of the business hub, and with a range of services now being offered the decision was made to bring all these together under one unifying brand.

Future Leap is currently preparing for our annual Festival of Sustainable Business 2021. The first event of three, the hybrid conference, will be taking place on the 21st September 2021. The conference provides a unique opportunity for discovery, collaboration and innovation towards a greener future, through showcasing creative technologies and acting as a platform for crucial knowledge-sharing, as well as making valuable connections. A celebration of the organisations leading the way and inspiring change, the conference is structured of 5 seminar sessions, taking place at The Bristol Hotel. These will discuss:

  • Community-Level Low Carbon Energy Solutions
  • How to Make Buildings More Sustainable
  • Accelerating Sustainable Infrastructure
  • The B Corp Journey: Better Business & Behaviour Change
  • Nature Based Solutions

Following the Conference, the Festival will hold a Gala Dinner and Sustainability Awards Ceremony at The Bristol Hotel on the 7th April 2022, and a free-to-enter business exhibition at We The Curious on the 23rd June 2022. This Exhibition offers the public an insight into the organisations leading change in the region.
