Salary 35,000 – 40,000 pro rata

About the role 

Future Leap was created to give organisations the space, knowledge, contacts and tools to accelerate their sustainability journey and progress towards net zero carbon. We do this by showcasing innovative solutions, facilitating future-thinking discussions and collaborating with one another. We aim to be the primary source of sustainability related services and information for both commercial and domestic clients in the South West and beyond. 

Future Leap, a Bristol based organisation (Pending B-Corp approval) offers organisations a number of hands-on services to support their net zero journeys. Additionally, Future Leap runs one of the biggest sustainability business networks in the UK consisting of over 500 businesses who engage with each other through our online portal and weekly events programme on all areas of sustainability from the very deep green technologies to softer solutions. As well as offering award-winning carbon neutral co-working facilities in Bristol and a brand new media studio in Clifton. 

Working in close collaboration with the Managing Director, we are actively seeking a skilled and seasoned professional to join our team part-time, taking on the role of Maternity Cover Operations Manager. Our team, though small, is highly dedicated, and our existing processes provide a solid foundation. Therefore, the responsibilities outlined below do not entail starting from square one. However, we welcome continuous improvement so there will be the opportunity to improve on current processes. 


Operations Management: 

      • Support the Senior Management Team and the Department Leaders with the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes. 

      • Collaborate with department leaders to develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and strategies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. 

      • Quickly gain proficiency in navigating and operating the company CRM, bookings platforms and financial reporting software. 

      • Generate regular reports on key operational metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement including generating sales reports. 

      • Analyse data to identify trends and areas for operational enhancement. 

        • Prepare and present reports to senior management, offering actionable insights to drive decision-making. 

        • Manage business administrative functions, including facilities management and procurement. 

        • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for operational processes. 

        • Liaise with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain positive working relationships. 

      Human Resources: 

          • Support with recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives. 

          • Address employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures. 

          • Collaborate with external HR advisor to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. 

        Health and Safety: 

            • Implement health and safety policies to create a safe working environment. 

            • Conduct regular risk assessments and coordinate training programs to ensure staff awareness and compliance. 

            • Investigate and report incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
