We’re seeking a passionate Natural Capital Lead to coordinate, lead, and provide expert advice on Belmont’s work on natural capital projects, including Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), Carbon Sequestration and Abatement, and Nature Recovery, in line with the climate and nature recovery strategies across the estates.

As the organisation enters the next growth phase with an expanding team across multiple sites, we seek someone to provide appropriate Natural Capital input to our team, coordinate with our partners, and provide output to our stakeholders and those interested in our activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and develop Belmont’s climate and nature recovery strategy.
- Lead the delivery of existing and develop new landscape restoration schemes, combining creativity and disruptive thinking.
- Propose, conceive and construct innovative Natural Capital projects and products.
- Establish, develop and nurture Belmont partnerships with government bodies, LPAs and Responsible Bodies on Natural Capital policies and markets.
- Seek out new partners to enhance delivery whilst developing and maintaining relationships with 3rd party suppliers.
- Ensure Belmont is at the forefront of new opportunities for grant funding.
- Provide expert natural capital input, project design and technical advice on nature-based products and tenders.
- Represent Belmont at events, conferences, research forums, and leading talks and tours.

Interview Stage
- We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, with initial recruitment ongoing for approximately four to six weeks. We will be interviewing candidates in late January and early February.
- Candidates selected for interviews will go through 2-3 stage interviews depending on the quantity of applications.
- We will begin with an introductory Teams call before conducting in-person interviews at our Belmont Estate Office.
