Meet The Speakers!

Naomi Stone, Reward and Engagement Manager, St Monica Trust

With over twenty years’ experience as a Human Resources practitioner, Naomiā€™s ethos is to apply psychological evidence to engage and motivate teams and individuals at work. Using the principles of positive psychology, Naomiā€™s work elicits behavioural change and aims to improve people’s working lives.

Naomiā€™s specialism is biophilia (the human-nature connection) relating to well-being at work and workplace cultures. Her post-graduate studies tell us that our innate connection with nature can help us to address the mismatch between the way we need to live and work as human beings and the reality. Naomiā€™s career spans the legal, charity, logistics and academic sectors.

Rosina Al-Shaater, Environmental Community Engagement Officer, Black and Green Ambassadors

Rosina is exploring the relationships that black and brown people in Bristol have with nature, using a multimedia storytelling approach to document, celebrate and share the ways people incorporate nature into their life and how this contributes to their health and wellbeing. Rosina is capturing stories, wisdom, skills and experiences centred around nature from all generations and cultures. She has particularly been working with the Windrush Generation. With this project she aims to decolonise nature and the wider environmental movement by increasing representation and helping black and brown people recognise the ‘expert’ in themselves and each other. Through this, she hopes to also increase access to knowledge around working nature and provide a route for more black and brown people to engage in the wider environmental movement.

Tobin Murphy-Coles, CEO, Amba People

Tobin has a significant presence in the workplace technology industry, and is currently CEO at Amba; an ESG employee benefits provider proudly pending B Corp accreditation.
Since studying Environmental Science (BSC), Tobin has co-founded wellbeing tech app Earthmiles, been an Investor, Consultant and Adviser at Net Zero pension provider Cushon, sat on the board at Green Transformation Bristol alongside tenure at AON, Jelf and Lorica.
Amba’s proprietary platform, Lumina, empowers employers to offer ESG employee benefits to staff – tackling Scope 3 in the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. The quickest wins and biggest impact in this area often comes from pensions and investments, by ensuring these funds are sustainable and environmentally friendly.
