Future Leap’s Wildlife Photography Gallery

Opening Night: 24th January | 7pm-9pm

Gallery Dates: 24th January - 21st February

Future Leap Bishopston, 1-3 Gloucester Road, Bristol, BS7 8AA

Join us from 24th January 2023 for Future Leap and Niche Frames’ second Wildlife Photography Gallery, celebrating the UK’s biodiversity!

The UK has a beautiful, diverse natural ecosystem that often goes unnoticed. With the Climate and Ecological Emergency playing an ever increasing part of our lives, it is time to draw attention to our most precious wildlife and natural habitats. With more attention and education on the beauty and fragility of UK’s biodiversity, we can better protect and support our island’s natural habitats.

On 24th January we will hold our Wildlife Photography Gallery Opening Night, a ticketed evening of inspiring talks from Natural England and Nowadays on Earth, relaxed networking and a bar. The final exhibiting pieces will be judged by Niche Frames, where one winner will be chosen and announced on the Opening Night to receive a £100 voucher at Niche Frames.

This will be followed by a free walk-in month-long exhibition at Future Leap Hub, every day 9am-5pm (except Sundays).

Meet the speakers!

Louise Treneman, Peatland Restoration Officer, Natural England
Louise works for Natural England in the Somerset team, as a Peat Restoration Officer and Reserve Manager. Her interest in peatlands started with a love of hiking on Dartmoor when she lived and worked in Devon, and has grown since to coordinating a project looking to work towards peat restoration on sites across the Somerset Levels and Moors. Louise previously worked for Avon Wildlife Trust in the nature reserves team working on reserves across the county.

This event is kindly sponsored by Niche Frames.

Niche is a Bristol based business that has been picture framing since 1995. First started in Stokes Croft, the so called ‘beating heart of Bristol’, they quickly became an institution for upcoming artists and art buyers to take their work. They are now settled on Zetland Road, framing and printing for some of Bristol’s best artists and photographers.
