Future Leap partnered with the University of the West of England to deliver a series of organisational sustainability workshops under their ‘Skills for Clean Growth’ programme. Constituting part of the West of England Combined Authority’s ‘Workforce for the Future’ project, this was a series of thematic sessions that explored different elements of how SMEs can improve their sustainable performance and upskill their teams for the transition to a greener economy. Subjects included carbon measurement and reduction, Scope 3 emissions, sustainability certifications, sustainability comms and marketing, and digital emissions.

The free-to-attend workshops were delivered to an audience of SME leaders, sustainability champions and entrepreneurs, and were very well received. Through this programme we helped over 100 SMEs learn more about how to improve their sustainable performance and provided valuable opportunities to network with like-minded organisations.

Testimonial

"We are grateful for the crucial contribution that Future Leap have made to the Skills for Clean Growth project delivered by UWE Bristol in partnership with NatWest. From the outset their innovative, agile and collaborative approach has been integral to the successful delivery of the programme. Working with Tom Batten we have been able to develop workshops on topics in emerging areas of direct relevance to our SME audience, not previously available within the region. The depth of knowledge within Future Leap and agile approach to workshop delivery has meant workshops have delivered value for all audiences. This approach has extended into methods of delivery where Davina Gilbert and the Future Leap Events Team have been able to provide a very slick experience of hybrid training allowing us to reach as wide an audience as possible. I’m hugely looking forward to continuing our partnership and impact across the region for the rest of the project."
