Join The Green Register of Construction Professionals for a tour of the Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus Research Hub, home to the Bristol Digital Futures Institute (BDFI) and MyWorld, on Tuesday 4th March 2025, 3.30pm-5.30pm at 65 Avon Street. This is the first building to complete in the University of Bristol’s rapidly emerging Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus, and is an excellent example of the versatility of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and Glulam.
The tour will be led by key members of the project team – the Client, University of Bristol; Architect, AHMM; and Structural Timber Engineer and Contractor, Xylotek – Advanced Timber.
They will describe how the project came about, the challenges and opportunities of using the existing stone walls and metal roof trusses, and the possibilities unlocked by using a mass timber structure of CLT and Glulam, through their multi-functional properties, accuracy, and prefabrication.
