Tom Batten

Head of Consultancy

Tom takes a holistic approach to demystify the ways in which businesses can improve their sustainability performance. This leads to practical and tangible ways in which our clients can confidently reduce their climate impact. He holds a MSc in Sustainable Development and has many years of experience in operations and project management. This ensures an excellent understanding of how businesses across multiple sectors work, and the practical challenges faced by leaders and their teams. Tom leads our team, fostering an open environment where collaboration leads to the best outcome for our clients.

Tyler Leyland-Jones

Through effective communication of sometimes complex information, Tyler helps our clients gain comprehensive insight into their carbon impact. This leads to identifying the activities which provide the biggest opportunities for reduction. Her wide-ranging experience supporting clients across multiple industry sectors is underpinned by a first-class degree in Environmental Science. Tyler brings a strong understanding of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and its relevance across different organisations.

Simon brings a vast experience to the Future Leap consultancy team. His 30 years in the sector – in roles from the most junior to the top – means he can act as a reality checkpoint, understanding what can and can’t be done, but always delivered with a relentless (and infectious) optimism. Complementing Simon’s experience and easy manner are qualifications as an HASTAM environmental manager, ISO14001 lead auditor and CIEH professional trainer.

Ammar works with our clients to communicate how carbon savings and financial savings go hand in hand, helping to inspire action to minimise carbon impact. After more than four years’ experience in the oil and gas industry he pursued a an MSc in Renewable Energy, Enterprise & Management which built a solid foundation for a career in sustainability. With each carbon footprint he delivers, Ammar is motivated by contributing to the carbon literacy in business, and preparing sustainability champions in client companies.

Lauren Gillis

An excellent networker, Lauren seeks to bring people together where she sees opportunity for collaboration. She works with our clients to make the process of carbon footprinting and emissions reduction as approachable as possible. Driven by a desire to help businesses of all sizes address their environmental impact, Lauren will find the accessible opportunities for them to reduce their carbon emissions. Lauren’s experience in sustainability is backed up by a first-class degree in Environmental Science.

George Boyd

Sustainability & Net Zero Consultant

George is a calm presence, guiding clients along the path to sustainability even when difficult choices must be faced. His degree in Geography and experience as a built environment life-cycle assessment (LCA) specialist means he brings unique expertise to the Future Leap consultancy team. In this previous role George successfully led embodied carbon assessments and emissions reduction strategy development on many major building projects.

Eden Beadle

Technical Lead

Eden is committed to driving meaningful change using a technical approach by working with clients to understand the carbon impact of their operations and projects, utiliamely leading to reduction strategies. He spent four years working at Mott MacDonald, a global engineering consultancy, most recently in the sustainability team. He worked on a range of infrastructure projects across the UK and overseasin this role following an MEng in Civil Engineering. 

Ian Fuller

Associate Consultant

Ian is an accomplished sustainability leader with over 20 years of experience in the built environment, commercial property, and infrastructure sectors. He has a proven track record of developing and executing decarbonisation strategies, driving ESG innovation, and leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver measurable sustainability improvements and social value for built environment projects. 

Ian holds a BSc in Environmental Science, is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), a full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (MIEMA), and a BREEAM AP and SKA Assessor.

Tim La Touche

Associate Consultant

Tim is a leading authority on environmental management practices in the building industry with over 20 years experience as the Global Quality and Environment Manager at Buro Happold. While there he introduced the ISO 14001 standard across all offices, was Editor-in-Chief of the first annual Global Sustainability Report in 2019 and led validation of their carbon targets by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). 

He has been a member of the CQI Sustainability SIG since its inception and also served as Chief Assessor on the Registration Board of the Society of Environment – the body that is responsible for conferring the Chartered Environmentalist qualification. Tim retired from Buro Happold in 2023 and now consults with as an Associate at Future Leap Consultancy.

Andy Hawkins

Associate Consultant

Andy is a linchpin in the B Corp community in Bristol and the South West as a qualified B Leader and therefore key advisor to dozens of clients across a range of sizes and sectors. He enables our clients to assess and improve their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) utilising the B Corp process and B Impact Assessment. As the Founder of B Corp Certified, Business on Purpose, and annual event PurposeFest, he has been transforming the way companies work for over 20 years. 

He has experience partnering for community development in Africa and advising in the environmental services sector so is well placed to provide support how, where and when it is needed.
