Future Leap News with Katherine Piper

Dear Readers,

Last month, our wonderful MD, Fenna Leake shared a 2022 round up from Future Leap.

This month, I’ll be looking forward to what we have in store over the coming months.

First up will be the publication of our Impact Report. This is not only useful in terms of our B Corp score (our audit is imminent) but also is a powerful representation of how the team’s hard work has really paid off. Huge thanks to all the Future Leap team for making the impact report so impactful! The report will be launched next week at our Climate, COP and Carbon evening event.

Then, keep an eye on Channel 4’s Political Slot, airing early March which discusses Bristol’s green city credentials and was filmed within Future Leap Bishopston, including a short interview with myself and various Green Party members.

March also sees the first of our three-part Festival of Sustainable Business. The hybrid conference on 23rd March has an anticipated 700 in attendance and is Future Leap’s BIG push around accelerating a transition to sustainable business practices. Keynote speakers include Chris Skidmore, Former Energy Minister at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and Chair of the recently launched Net Zero Review, Rebecca Nohl, Associate at SYSTEMIQ Ltd (formerly Dasgupta Review team) and Ian Barrett, Chief Executive at Avon Wildlife Trust.  All Network Members can attend the conference at a discounted rate, book your tickets here

NB The Headline, Inclusivity and Conference Networking Zone sponsorship opportunities are still available. Get in touch if of interest.

Hot on the heels of the Festival, will be the official launch of Bristol City Leap, and the Future Leap team is delighted to have been selected to facilitate the launch and a series of roadshows. Bristol City Leap is an innovative partnership which will accelerate green energy investment in Bristol and help towards decarbonising the whole city. Watch out for updates in future newsletters and if you’d like to find out more please do not hesitate to get in touch.

And last but not least, the media studio at Future Leap Clifton is nearing completion and so do get in touch if you would like to have a tour and be added to the waiting list. We can’t wait to welcome you to our newest venture!

Hope to see you at one/some of the above activities soon!

Very best wishes

Katherine Piper,
Director of Partnerships & Sustainability
