May catch-up with Katherine Piper

Dear Future Leap community,

As we move into the middle of May, it’s exciting to reflect on the busy and eventful month we’ve had at Future Leap. Our focus this month has been our own exciting development plans including announcing new roles within the Future Leap team. We are looking to expand our consultancy team and expand our business sustainability support further into the southwest. We are recruiting two business development managers.

Our events team has been working closely with Bristol City Leap to deliver their roadshow series, aimed at raising awareness of Bristol’s decarbonisation plans. We’re proud to be playing a part in this important mission.

We were also thrilled to support the Global Goal’s Centre’s SPARKs launch in central Bristol, and we’re delighted to offer free Network membership to this exciting initiative.

In addition, we had the pleasure of opening our carbon neutral Media Studios at our Clifton hub, where attendees enjoyed a tour of the space, refreshments and music. We also have a fully serviced office available to let, suitable for 12-15 people, so please do get in touch if you’re interested.

Our Festival of Sustainable Business awards are now open, and we encourage applications from organisations doing great work in areas such as biodiversity, social sustainability, low carbon tech, communicating the climate and ecological emergency, and the circular economy. We’ve also launched our Pitch Hour, providing a platform for organisations to pitch their funding ideas to potential investors.

Finally, we’re excited to announce the re-launch of our regular sustainable business forums in Avonmouth and Severnside in July. Our consultancy team has also been delivering workshops on net zero and securing some exciting new projects in this area.

As always, we’re committed to supporting our community in the transition to a more sustainable future. We hope you have a wonderful week ahead.

Best regards,

Katherine, Head of Partnerships and Sustainability at Future Leap
