April at Future Leap: Exciting announcements including our B-Corp certification
Dear Future Leap Community,
We hope this newsletter finds you well as we dive into some truly exciting updates from the Future Leap team.
First and foremost, we extend our warmest congratulations to Fenna, our Managing Director, and her partner Pete on the arrival of their baby, born on Sunday, April 21st, at 6:40 am. A delightful addition to our extended Future Leap family. We can’t wait to meet them.
In other monumental news, we are thrilled to announce that Future Leap has been awarded B Corp accreditation! This achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of our entire team. Huge thanks to everyone involved for their hard work and passion in making this milestone a reality. We did it! Now to look at how we can continue to improve moving into 2025…
Speaking of which, this month also saw us announce the Festival of Sustainable Business dates for 2025… nothing like forward planning eh event team?! Save the date for the conference on March 27th, the exhibition on June 19th, and the awards dinner on November 20th 2025.
But let’s not forget about this year’s events activities. Planning for the 2024 Exhibition is going well, with the majority of indoor exhibition spaces already booked. If you’re considering exhibiting or interested in sponsorship opportunities, don’t hesitate to reach out – we’d love to have you on board!
In addition, tonight marks the launch of Retrofit West, a really exciting initiative offering free retrofit training for builders, electricians, plumbers, and other built environment focused trades. Future Leap is proud to partner with this project, facilitating the launch this evening and a series of engagement and technical demonstrator events. Retrofit West is funded by the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, helping the advancement of sustainability knowledge in the West of England. For more information, click here.
Last but certainly not least, our hub teams, finance, and consultancy services continue to provide exceptional support to our business community. This month, for example, the consultancy team have been working with The National Composites Centre, De Smit Medical, and JW Vending, all working towards accelerating their sustainability strategies and fostering positive change.
