Bristol Climate and Nature Partnership: Getting Started programme

Does your organisation want to take action on climate but doesn’t know where to start? Bristol Climate & Nature Partnership’s new Getting Started programme might be the answer!

We know that getting started with climate action can feel overwhelming, particularly for smaller organisations. As part of the Climate Action Programme we have developed a new initiative alongside our consultancy partner Eunomia, to help organisations on their way.

The programme consists of three group workshops with tasks to complete in-between, to provide participants with a solid grounding in the steps needed to start taking effective climate action. We will also have a follow-up call a few months after the end of the programme to check in on progress. The workshop topics are:

  • Jargon busting and demystification: Monday 28 April, 2 – 4:45pm
  • Measuring and monitoring carbon footprint: Monday 9 June, 1:45 – 5pm
  • Creating a climate action plan and setting targets: Monday 7 July, 2 – 4.45pm

Our aim is for participants to finish the programme with a carbon footprint baseline and an understanding of how to create a climate action plan and their next steps.

The programme is limited to 10 organisations, with each able to send up to two members of staff. We will be prioritising SMEs that have not yet started with climate action and are committed to taking the first steps.

Please register your interest by 2 April, 5pm. We will let you know if you have a place by 9 April.
