Toyota Launches Circular Factory Initiative in the UK
Toyota’s recent launch of the Circular Factory initiative in the UK is a significant step towards sustainable automotive practices. This program focuses on systematically recycling end-of-life vehicles (ELVs), aiming to recover reusable parts and materials, thereby reducing environmental impact.
Toyota anticipates that the UK facility will recycle approximately 10,000 vehicles annually, reclaiming around 120,000 parts, 300 tonnes of high-purity plastic, and 8,200 tonnes of steel. This initiative aligns with Toyota’s commitment to achieving complete carbon neutrality by 2040.
