Dear Future Leapers,
We hope this newsletter finds you well and thriving in your sustainability journey. As we step into March, we are thrilled to bring you some exciting updates on Future Leap activities. Our Festival of Sustainable Business conference is just around the corner so make sure you grab your ticket. We’re launching an exciting free training program for individuals working in built environment. Our Media Studio Open House and Networking event is happening next week. We bid a temporary farewell to our wonderful MD Fenna Leake who is about to go on maternity leave.
1. Festival of Sustainable Business – Only 3 Weeks Away!
The countdown has begun, and we are just three weeks away from our most anticipated event of the year – the Festival of Sustainable Business conference. With over 600 attendees last year, this year promises even more insights, networking opportunities, and knowledge sharing. The conference will delve into crucial topics such as B Corp, Brand Activism, EV Infrastructure, and Decarbonisation in the Built Environment, all vital for achieving our net-zero imperatives. Grab your tickets here.
Networking Zone Sponsored by char-gy
We’re excited to announce that the Conference Networking Zone is generously sponsored by char-gy, offering an excellent chance to explore their innovative EV charging solutions. Most sponsorships for the Festival are secured, but we’re still on the lookout for our Inclusivity sponsor, and a few headline sponsorship slots remain open. If your company is interested in being a part of this impactful event, please reach out to us.
2. Green Skills Initiative – West of England Combined Authority Funding (WECA)
Future Leap, in collaboration with consortium partners, has secured WECA funding to provide free training in retrofit for individuals working within the built environment. More details will follow but mark your calendars for the Retrofit West official launch on the evening of April 25th. This initiative is a significant step towards fostering green skills and promoting sustainable practices in the industry.
3. Future Leap Media Studios Open House and Networking
We are excited for our Media Studio Open House from the 27th –29th of February, with an evening of Networking on Thursday the 29th. There’s some final slots going for the 2h free use of the podcast and film studio and our networking event is nearly at capacity. Please get in touch at clifton@futureleap.co.uk about the open house and book a ticket for the networking event HERE.
4. Farewell to Our MD and Job Opportunity
As we prepare to bid a temporary farewell to our wonderful Managing Director, Fenna who is heading on Maternity Leave, we are currently advertising for an Operations & HR Manager to join Future Leap. If you believe you’re the right fit for this role, please don’t hesitate to apply.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you at the Festival of Sustainable Business!
Best wishes
Katherine
