Tech Consultancy Gets Cutting Edge With Greener Energy Futures

Businesses recognise that being a ‘Green leader’ can be a strong differentiator, with three quarters of UK citizens concerned about Climate Change. Further, businesses are seeing increasing demand from customers to demonstrate Net Zero plans, especially those working with the Public Sector. With a strong employer brand and a significant Government client base, RedRock partnered with Greener Energy Futures to understand how they could improve their impact on the planet.

RedRock Consulting have repeatedly won awards for being a ‘Best Employer’ from the Sunday Times; being a great employer isn’t just about a great office and working environment, it’s also about vision and impact. RedRock already actively supports local charities but wanted to understand it’s carbon emissions and how to reduce them.

With that in mind, Greener Energy Futures delivered a three-part programme to RedRock:

Assess Emissions

Identify possible pathways to reduction

Facilitate a workshop to agree practical reductions

Through this clear, actionable approach, RedRock have been able to pursue ways to decarbonise the business and will be able to position themselves as a great employer and as a supplier compliant with the Cabinet Office’s Net Zero standard.

Speaking about the report, Dean Harte, Managing Director of RedRock Consulting said “We recognised that our staff and customers want us not just to contribute to society through our charitable work, but also to lead on environmental issues. Greener Energy Futures helped us understand where our emissions come from, especially one dominant area; they then helped us put together a plan to reduce these. We’re now expecting to be able to make big strides on reducing our footprint and will be pushing for carbon neutrality as soon as possible”

Simon Pyne, Founder & Director at Greener Energy Futures commented “We love working with organisations like RedRock, who are committed to being a positive influence on the World through the way they treat people, planet and profit. Businesses like theirs are positioning themselves to be not just winners today, but ready for a low-carbon future. Our approach is perfect for organisations who want to act on carbon reduction in meaningful ways like RedRock have”
