Through our membership and events, we connect professionals working in sustainable construction to one another and to those seeking their services.
Role outline
Job title: Project Manager
Contract type: Temporary contract, freelance until June 2025 with the possibility of extension
Hours: 30 per week, with the opportunity of working flexibly to suit the role and organisation. Hybrid working is supported, to include some time at our office at Create Centre, Smeaton Road, Bristol BS1 6XN and external meetings/events
Reports to: Director
Salary: £20/hour
Description
The Green Register has ambitious and exciting projects ahead that will transform sustainability training for the retrofit construction sector. We are seeking a highly organised, motivated individual with a proven track record of successful project management to support the organisation with meeting externally funded and self-funded targets. Working across a variety of activities and with several groups of stakeholders, this role will suit a committed, confident and energetic person who wants to make a serious impact on skills and training for sustainability in the built environment.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for the end-to-end management (planning, delivery, monitoring, control and closure) of the project, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, time, cost, quality and benefits
- Developing project plans; internal and external reporting
- Management of project budgets, milestones and deliverables
- Stakeholder engagement; events, database management, correspondence
- Support training development and delivery
- Input to project strategy
- Attendance at project meetings and information flow management with project stakeholders
- Development and support in delivery of recruitment and marketing plans
- Collaboration with industry stakeholders to maximise opportunities that will contribute to the success of the projects and the organisation
Person specification
Essential
- Proven budget management skills
- Demonstrable project management experience
- Creative thinker, positive attitude and ability to cover a range of tasks within a small team
- Strong communicator able to work effectively with a variety of stakeholder groups
- Highly organised and efficient individual who can work at pace
- CRM database experience
- Track record of fruitful relationship building
- Ability to plan to achieve maximum positive impact while minimising risk
Desirable
- Project management qualification
- Demonstrable knowledge of construction sector, retrofit and renewables
- Marketing/business development skills
The role is a part-time, short-term contract, 30 hours per week with a start date of early March 2024
