Future Leap News: October
Dear Future Leap Community,
I hope this message finds you well. It’s with great enthusiasm that I bring you the latest update from our bustling world at Future Leap.
Our Events Team is back in full swing, and it’s heartwarming to witness so many of you filling our event spaces, eager to embark on your organisation’s sustainability journey.
Just yesterday, we welcomed 21 eager delegates to Future Leap Gloucester Road, marking the commencement of our 8-week Organisational Sustainability course in partnership with YTKO. The best part? It’s a free course, and there are still four coveted spaces waiting to be filled. The sign-up deadline is October 24th. You can learn more and secure your spot by visiting: Organisational Sustainability Course Details
And the excitement doesn’t end there! Next month, we have a pair of remarkable events dedicated to celebrating sustainability.
First up is our Sustainable Business Awards Ceremony, set to take place at The Bristol on November 9th. Join us to showcase and celebrate businesses that are leading the way in sustainability. We are thrilled to have Mayor Marvin Rees opening the event, and the evening promises delightful and sustainable food, along with musical merriment from City To Sea’s Founder, Natalie Fee. It’s an event you won’t want to miss! Get all the details here: Sustainable Business Awards Ceremony
Please note that ticket sales end on the 26th of October so make sure that don’t miss out!
Hot on the heels of the awards, we’re gearing up for Bristol City Leap’s supply chain event on November 22nd. Once again, we’re delighted to welcome Mayor Marvin Rees as a keynote speaker. This event is your opportunity to delve into Bristol City Leap and Vattenfall UK’s pipelines, procurement processes, and Social Value commitments. Discover how your business can play a pivotal role in this city-wide movement. Find out more here: Building Our Supply Chain
Looking further into the future, our annual wildlife photography exhibition, generously sponsored by Niche, is on the horizon. If you have a passion for capturing the beauty of the natural world through your lens, you have an opportunity to exhibit your work and stand a chance to win a £100 voucher at Niche Frames. Submissions are open until December 1st. Learn more here: Wildlife Photography Exhibition
Keeping in the realm of communication, don’t forget that our carbon-neutral media studios are now open and ready to welcome you. As Sir David Attenborough once said, we are facing a communications challenge when it comes to addressing climate change. The first Future Leap podcast is now live! We talked to Ted X Bristol about their upcoming 2023 edition and why sustainability is important to an organisation that deals in ideas. Recorded in our Future Leap Media Studios in Clifton and hosted by our Marketing and Communications Manager Iris Hable, it is the first of a monthly edition going forward. Reach out to us and discover how our podcast, photography, and film studio can amplify your sustainability message.
Lastly, we’re delighted to extend our support to three exceptional not-for-profits: Babbasa, Nature Connection CIC, and Digilocal. We’ll be offering them an additional year of free Future Leap Network membership, and we’re excited to collaborate with them in the coming year.
Future Leap’s mission is to accelerate sustainable business practices. If you’re curious to learn more about how we do this in relation to our hubs, consultancy, Eco-Fit, or Finance offerings, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
With very best wishes,
Katherine
